Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with and support the Brand Manager to deliver brand marketing strategies for the assigned product’s entire lifecycle.
  • Align with cross-functional and international teams to deliver integrated marketing activations.
  • Help manage best-in-class production of creative advertising and brand assets.
  • Work with internal departments and external vendors as required to deliver compelling campaigns.
  • Manage brand marketing approval process across creative, business, legal, and accounting.
  • Support creative media campaigns by developing media briefs, trafficking creative assets, and working with digital media and external media agencies.
  • Support the ATLUS Brand and Licensing pillar to deliver upon other promotional activations and initiatives as needed.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1-2+ years’ experience in a marketing role within gaming, entertainment, or consumer products.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Ability to support initiatives with a focus on KPI / ROI metrics.
  • Experience in project management, analysis, and the ability to work with multiple teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to flexible hours while working with overseas teams.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive and professional attitude.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • A passionate gamer with deep knowledge of ATLUS games.

Job Summary:

The Helpdesk Technician is a member of a customer service focused Technology Services organization and will be responsible for being a key contributor to the team in a system support capacity.  This role is responsible for investigating and resolving software and hardware problems for the Sega of America and exemplifying excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm.  Work closely with the Sr. Helpdesk Technician to manage desktop system deployment projects, focusing on the successful roll-out of applications that improve productivity, efficiency and otherwise provide tools that enable the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Desktop Support

  • Tracking, resolving, and closing helpdesk tickets.
  • Answering, evaluating, and resolving assigned support requests from Sega of America staff experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, etc.
  • Monitoring the helpdesk ticket queue and escalating to team members when needed.
  • Installing computer hardware and software.
  • Providing training on the proper use of systems and software.
  • Assisting staff with the setup of audio, video and web conferencing.
  • Assisting with and training users on various presentation systems.
  • Supporting and assisting staff with hardware/software phones.
  • Providing support for scanning and printing services.
  • Providing remote assistance for employees in multiple offices.
  • Troubleshooting, identifying, and escalating issues requiring urgent attention.
  • Other tasks as requested by Technology Services management

System and Software Provisioning and Inventory Management

  • Assisting with software and hardware procurement.
  • Processing, tracking orders and ensuring delivery to IT staff and associates.
  • Helping to maintaining inventory of hardware devices and software licenses.
  • Helping to manage software and hardware maintenance support contracts.
  • Helping with hardware and software deployment projects (i.e. OS upgrades).
  • Helping to manage provider accounts.
  • Assist in managing accounts for approved cloud apps.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service/people skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office suite) in a mixed platform (PC/MAC) environment.
  • Familiar with project management software and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of communication and collaboration applications.
  • Experience installing and supporting hardware peripherals and networked devices.
  • Experience with remote support applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary:

Take the lead on growing revenue from in-app advertising. Testing a variety of partners, formats, frequencies and integrations, you’ll liaise with studios around the world to advise on best practice; all with the ultimate goal of exceeding advertising targets and finding creative, data-backed ways to grow SEGA’s advertising business.

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of customer experience and maintaining game quality. You’ll be passionate about mobile games and used to interpreting data to understand player psychology and game design opportunities. You’ll be responsible for yield optimization, working against both revenue targets and player engagement KPI’s.

You’ll balance ad revenue against cross promotion opportunities, integrating house ads and working with the Business Intelligence team to identify high yielding cohorts to syndicate between games and extend cLTV.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Champion the advertising revenue opportunity at SEGA, educating internal stakeholders on monetization models and produce regular reports to evangelize success.
  • Own SEGAs ad monetization roadmap, identifying catalogue games which would benefit from an advertising lead strategy, build out the commercial case with supporting P&L and champion through internal sign off.
  • Shape best practice standards for ad mediation, provide clarity to the Studios and Production on the optimal set up; support all stakeholders during integration for seamless adoption.
  • Optimize campaigns across networks and territories using quantitative analysis to yield market leading eCPM’s and fulfil revenue targets.
  • Identify partner apps for direct deals, foster mutually beneficial relations and negotiate terms to drive revenue.
  • Onboard advertising partners who align with SEGA’s integrity and vision, negotiate business terms, champion contracts with the legal teams and monitor impression allocation based on network performance.
  • AB test custom frames, ad creative treatments and integration positions to affect CTR and IR. Use as part of your well thought out toolset to move the needle on eCPM.
  • Develop the case for rewarded games in mid-core games.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of demonstrable experience in advertising monetization, pricing/yield management and game analytics.
  • Demonstrable success of monetizing freemium games through in-game advertising and cross promotion tools on both the iOS and Android platforms.
  • Highly accomplished negotiator, commercially astute with an influential persona. You must thrive in a fast pace, data driven environment.
  • Hands on experience of optimizing advertising revenues across multiple networks and Geographic’s.
  • Deep knowledge of mediation software like MoPub, Max, Admob etc. Extensive contacts with mobile advertising networks.
  • Solid understanding of mobile game design, with a focused specialism in advertising monetization.
  • Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills, including demonstrated ability of performing complex data analysis and building data-driven reports.
  • Active player of mobile games able to understand the perspective of both casual and mid-core game consumers.
  • Must be detail oriented, possess good time management as well as business process management skills and be able to prioritize in a changing environment.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Product Strategy, the Sr. Manager, Product Strategy is charged with driving world-class product marketing and research across the Sonic the Hedgehog video game portfolio. Working closely with studio development partners and other business stakeholders, and based on research and data-driven initiatives, you will help shape and inform the product vision, plan marketing strategy, and drive the go-to-market tactical plan, as well as the business plan, for your titles globally. As an accomplished marketer, creative thinker, and team leader, you will develop strong planning processes, and play a pivotal role as part of the marketing team that will continue to drive innovation and constantly advance Sonic’s marketing capability and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sonic Game Title Marketing:  Through a hands-on approach and working closely with all partners (including but not limited to Brand Marketing, Sales, Creative, Research, Business Planning, Agencies, and other teams), you will be the custodian of integrated marketing on your portfolio of games. Through targeted research you will lead the development of title positioning, audience definition/sizing and the over-arching marketing strategy. After development of foundational strategy, you will drive the timely planning and execution of highly tactical, integrated go-to-market plans across all marketing channels. You will be responsible for ensuring that all parts of the marketing toolset align to the marketing strategy, and that a truly 360-degree approach is embraced and executed from planning to execution.
  • Research Initiatives: Leads research initiatives to define product-specific target audience personas, understand audience definition and segmentation, provide insight into established market norms, validate product concepts and features, and perform SWOT analysis.
  • Media/Advertising Plans:  Works closely with Sega’s media planning agency to develop and execute targeted media plans for both multi-million dollar campaigns as well as smaller budgets.
  • Creative Asset Development:  Interacts directly with Sega’s graphic design team and oversees web development initiatives, digital/promotions agencies and other external creative agencies to develop high-impact, innovative marketing communications (eg- TV advertising, website, trailers, packaging, etc.).
  • Marketing Approvals:  Works with legal and product development teams on timely planning and approval of marketing plans, contracts, and related creative assets.
  • First Parties:  Together with our brand marketing team, leads development and maintenance of strong relationships with Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft (and ESRB) to ensure timely approvals on all marketing submissions while working to secure beneficial coverage/placement of assigned titles via 1st party platforms.
  • Events:  Oversees product participation in events, working together with sister companies to ensure all events are supported and meet the company’s objectives.
  • Sku Planning Support: Works closely with Product Development teams to create sku plans for each title that optimize each product launch for the marketplace and engages consumer research to identify market opportunities for creating games/optimizing messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely and collaboratively with Sonic’s cross-functional groups, including Licensing, Animation, and others.
  • Internal Development Process:  Acts as marketing representative in all procedural product “greenlight” meetings designed to move products forward as part of global internal process.
  • Packaging Development:  Leads physical packaging efforts for all retail focused gaming product skus and key art for digital skus.
  • Sales Support:  Liaise with Sales team to ensure that the group has all necessary materials for making an impact while pitching to retail, at events, and in-store at launch.  Accompanies sales team to pitch products when necessary.
  • Brand Presentations:  Together with our brand marketing team, oversees creation and presents marketing pitch materials for external use to communicate with business partners about the games.
  • Budgeting:  Responsible for various relevant marketing budgets working closely with finance and business planning groups.
  • International Focus:  Manages close relationships and works together with other key contacts in sister divisions worldwide to ensure that plans are global in nature and that assets are developed in time to allow for localization.
  • Lead and mentor: Support direct reports in their career development, constantly develops and applies best practices, fosters great communication and collaboration with studio partners, and establishes and improves processes across the team and organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • 5-7 years of video game marketing experience, to include 4+ years in a Product Marketing or Product Management role
  • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative video game research initiatives
  • Familiarity with the US / EMEA marketing region, while working in a global environment
  • Direct experience with first party process, procedures, and best practices working with Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo
  • Passion for videogames (especially Sonic), pop culture, and entertainment

Job Summary:

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for tax compliance for SEGA of America.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and provide the information to the outside accountant for the annual withholding tax returns (Form 1042)
  • Monitor and manage the tax related documents (W-8BEN-E, etc.…)
  • Prepare and file the sales/used taxes
  • File the annual business registration
  • File the California Environmental Fee return
  • Work with the outside accountant for the Federal/State correspondences
  • Prepare/Provide the necessary information to the outside accountant for the quarterly and annual tax provision calculation and the annual corporate income tax returns (including the estimated taxes)
  • Calculate the APA royalties for SOJ and ACL monthly
  • Support Senior Manager with special projects
  • Facilitate the yearly audit process and prepare the necessary audit support to prepare the yearly financial statements
  • Research and interpret tax laws.
  • In charge of the individual tax returns for the Japanese expatriates
  • Work with HR department for the GU calculation
  • Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes (Monitor the new/updated tax laws and work with Senior Manager and the outside accountant.)
  • Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals
  • Forecast tax payments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or Taxation
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills on MS office, accounting software and database
  • Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and outside of the company
  • +5 years of related experience is preferred
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Must have excellent time management & follow up skills.
