Job Summary:

The Online Game department is looking for a talented and creative Web Designer to help support the team while working on online game titles on PC and mobile.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and updates existing websites, including mobile versions of websites.
  • Work independently with relatively little supervision.
  • Design asset creation for Marketing or Community management.
  • Designs marketing collateral for use on the web, PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Nintendo eShop, Steam, and more.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of web design experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of HTML 5, CSS3, responsive web design, Adobe Photoshop
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.  Professional demeanor and the ability to carry out business communications.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Passion for games, positive attitude, attention to detail.
  • Have an online portfolio or examples of work.
  • Additional positive considerations: knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects, Drupal, forum software.

Job Summary:

Sega of America Online Game Department is looking for a well-organized, flexible, and enthusiastic Marketing Planner to help support the team while working on online Japanese game titles mainly on mobile platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand individual Marketing goals and initiatives with relation to Franchise goals.
  • Support campaign execution and research that help drive the title’s revenue and profit target.
  • Compile and maintain KPI data to support the identification of business concerns and related actions.
  • Help to facilitate Marketing asset creation and execution to improve the effectiveness of campaigns. This includes managing the review process.
  • Work closely with Sega Japan Marketing team and cross-functional within Sega of America teams to execute marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing collateral that supports key messages for creativity.
  • Process business administrative tasks including support for travel and calendaring.
  • Collaborate with internal Production, external partners, developers, and agencies for effective campaign execution.
  • Track project schedules and key campaign beats

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of product/brand marketing experience in the mobile gaming industry
  • Understanding of core Japanese POP culture including Anime, Games, and Manga.
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to balance solid strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should be a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to develop strong relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • English and Japanese bilingual skill-set is ideal.

Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2) Project has an immediate opening for a skilled bilingual translator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and fluent proficiency in Japanese and English.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate documents from Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese with accuracy and efficiency
  • Sit-in on conference calls, facilitating communication between multiple parties by translating in real-time
  • Attend meetings and stand-ups, ensuring all communicated points are clearly translated and delivered to both Japanese and English speaking attendees

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably from a Japanese school
  • Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English, with exceptional writing skills in both languages
  • Prior experience and a close familiarity with the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Basic understanding of the online games industry is preferred, but not required
