Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable Associate Financial Analyst to help us provide accurate and data-based information on the company’s profitability. You will be expected to provide accurate financial information, write reports, and analyze financial movements. We want to see candidates with strong attention to detail, a strong mathematical mind, and an ability to think critically.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly financial data
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Assist in the preparation of financial analysis
  • Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support
  • Develop charts and graphs to illustrate financial reports
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide information that senior members can outline the problems and opportunities for a business
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Monitor variances, track receivables, and follow up on discrepancies
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Being able to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

We are looking for a reliable Financial Analyst who is responsible for financial planning, analyses, and projections for our company. This position will work closely with Business Planning Manager to develop efficient financial revenue and cost management process. We want to see candidates with a strong analytical mind, independent, and an ability to think critically.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, forecasts etc) considering company’s goals and financial standing
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Conduct cost and KPI analysis
  • Analyze financial data and provide projections based on the analysis
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide analytical, forecasting, and reporting support to senior management
  • Create budget and forecast management process
  • Provide information that senior members can outline the problems and opportunities for a business

Job Summary:

Sega of America is seeking a Commercial Analyst enthusiastic about the intersection between gaming and business. This position is focused on looking at sales data and other metrics to support forecasting and other business decisions. It will work closely with commercial and planning teams to enhance existing models and drive discovery of new insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate to related internal parties to understand key business questions for various projects across console, PC, and mobile
  • Use sales data and other metrics to build/improve sales curve models for internal and external titles
  • Support post-launch review of titles by comparing forecast to actuals and isolating learnings for future forecasts
  • Leverage competitor sales data and desktop research to model impact for scenario analysis
  • Develop ways to incorporate new market research insights into forecast modeling
  • Support business development valuations by comparing sales actuals to other deals
  • Summarize forecast, analysis, and other findings into materials to present to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with yearly comprehensive report on the gaming market
  • Assist in answering internal sales data and market queries (e.g. competitor analysis)
  • Build relationships across the organization to strengthen inter-department communication and better understand context for analytic needs

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1-2+ years of business analyst or forecasting role
  • Ability to solicit information from key stakeholders and convert to appropriate and consistent messaging for target audiences
  • Ability to work in a highly organized manner with the proven and consistent capability of meeting tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn the latest market trends, business model, technologies in the entertainment industry
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills
  • Gaming industry/sector experience preferable
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or business

Preferred Skills:

  • A passionate gamer with deep knowledge of SEGA and ATLUS games
  • Experience working with a Japanese game publisher or company
